“Well hello chuck, what’s your name and where d’you come from?” so says Cilla off of the nineties (**insert 10 minute break to watch an old ep of Blind Date on youtube).
My name is Annie Parker, hence the ap, and I’m a born and bred Londoner. I’m a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, auntie, best friend, god-mother….. Yoga Teacher.
I took my first yoga class while I was at primary school. I used to come home instructing (read bossing) my mum and auntie on how to yoga and getting them to do the relaxation techniques I had learnt.
Fast forward a few years, I started taking classes on and off mostly at gyms, until a few years back when it became a much more focused part of my life. I began practicing every day, exploring different styles and strengthening and improving my practice.
And then one day I was like, hey, there’s so much more I want to know about yoga, so I signed up to take my Teacher Training. With zero intention of ever actually teaching.
But I fell in love with it. I learnt things that I didn’t know that I didn’t know. It changed my whole outlook on life, it made me think about what story I am here to tell and I realised that I’m able to share something which I love so much with other people. So I stopped being scared and I began teaching.
Now here I am, wanting to share this with you. What are you waiting for? Trust me, I know life is anything but a fairytale, but let’s write ourselves the everafter we really want
xoxo
